Antigone Compare/Contrast

In the story Antigone written by Sophocles. These two brothers go to war to see who the next king is. Little do they know their armies are cowards and they end up killing each other. After all that happens Antigone and Creon, Creon is Antigone's uncle, argue about family and rules.
Antigone and Creon both have similarities these similarities are loyalty. Antigone is loyal to family. Like she says here “ My brother won't rest in peace without a proper burial”(poster on the wall). What she shows in this quote is that she wants the best for her family. Creon is loyal as well, but he's loyal to the state. As he says “The state is the king”(scene II, Line 110). He shows he care more about the state than his family. Another way Antigone shows loyalty is by saying “traitor or not, equal in blood”(). She means that even if he did something bad he is still family. But creon “you honor a traitor as much as him”(). He doesn't care he just cares about the state.
Antigone and Creon have many differences. They both have pride, but over  different things. For example Antigone says “I shall have honor too”(Scene II, Line 63). Antigone has pride in burying her brother when she wasn't supposed too. Another thing she said was “Creon Isn't strong enough to stand in my way”(Poster on the wall). What she means is that she will do what she thinks is right and creon won't stop her. Creon says “My voice is the only voice giving orders in this city”(Scene III, Line 108). What he says is that hes not going to let Antigone do what she wants he gives the orders. Another way Creon shows pride for his state is by saying “an enemy is an enemy, even dead”(Scene II,  Line 133). He shows that his pride is stronger than his nephews relationship.
We learned Antigone does what's right no matter what happened to her. And also that Creon was a scumbag that just cares about the state. But antigone care more about the family than the state.
